For its bicentenary, Val Saint-Lambert will be celebrating two centuries of creation, know-how and international influence, through hosting an exceptional temporary exhibition, which will be inaugurated on 10th April 2026. This exhibition is intended to be the high point of this anniversary year and is part of a complete revamp of the existing exhibition and visitor tour, as well as the reopening of the immersive display, offering visitors a renewed, more contemporary experience.

The exhibition proposes a productive dialogue between heritage and modern creation. It showcases iconic vintage pieces from leading designers who have shaped the reputation of Val Saint-Lambert since the 19th century. These works pay witness to the technical excellence, aesthetic daring and international influence of the crystal-works, whose productions have illuminated tables, palaces and world fairs throughout the world. The tour also recounts the major steps in the industrial, artistic and human history of the site, revealing the innovations, challenges and women as well as men who have contributed to developing this outstanding adventure.

However, this exhibition is not only celebration of the past. It stands out thanks to a resolutely modern and unique approach, embodied by an exclusive collaboration with the non-profit association Spray Can Arts, which has given rise to original contemporary pieces, created especially for the bicentenary. These works revisit the Val Saint-Lambert aesthetic by exploring new shapes, uses or daring lighting effects, while engaging with the techniques and materials that form the DNA of the crystal-works. They pay witness to the capacity of Val Saint-Lambert to reinvent itself and inspire current creation.

The modern art tour, which has been reopened for the occasion, completes this experience by explaining to visitors the origins of glassmaking as well as the history of Val Saint-Lambert. Light, materials, sounds and images immerse visitors in the heart of crystals, from their inception to their artistic implementation. This bicentenary exhibition, at the crossroads of memory and innovation, affirms Val Saint Lambert as a living, breathing space. It invites the public to rediscover a legendary firm, not only as a major influence in the history of design and decorative arts but also as a creative player in the present and future.
